Congratulation to our Leinster Riders who performed excellently at the Barnadown Two Day Premier Show.

Excellent weekend of Showjumping at the Pony Premier at Barnadown Stud last weekend (22-23rd May) with Leinster well represented in the ribbons for all competitions.

The future looks very bright for Showjumping in Ireland when such a high standard of jumping was seen over two days in Barnadown.  Visiting International Course Designer, Mark Mc Gowan,  was trilled  with the high standard of jumping from our pony riders.  This can be attributed to the excellent training program from both HSI and Showjumping Ireland, hard work of the pony committee in setting out a five year plan, securing sponsorship for the different premiers  and the wonderful work done by the pony parents in securing  additional sponsorship and setting up the Lotto to fund invaluable  International experience abroad for our 148 riders.

The Alliance Star Finders 6  & 7 year old class  was well supported and encouraged some excellent riding on Novice ponies.   My last comment about the weekend is that team Barnadown must be complimented for their efficiency , hard work  and good humour.  Tired workers went home after long days feeling good.  Everyone  enjoyed the jumping, riders jumped in order, parents and spectators clapped -it was a weekend of fantastic jumping from Under 10’s 128 to international Trial  for 148.  Well done everyone involved.-parents, Trainers, Tom Slattery, chef d’Equip  and both Horse Sport Ireland Committee and Showjumping Ireland’s Pony Committee.
