Top Young Rider – Seamus Hughes Kennedy

What a wonderful day’s jumping, under the South East sunshine, was experienced this afternoon at Barnadown Equestrian Center under the stewardship of Felicity and Maurice Cousins. Resident Course Designer, John Doyle built an inviting track on the excellent grass arena for the 60 combinations who jumped. The arena is surrounded by an amazing ambiance of colour which highlights a beautiful backdrop to the Wexford Country side.

There was a huge crowd watching the jump off where our young riders gave the top guns a run for their money. Tholm Keane on BMH Big Time stole the show with his excellent round but the person who stood out for his excellent performance was fellow Kilkenny rider, Seamus Hughes Kennedy on his mother Clare’s mount Louis D’Or with the first clear round in the jump off with a time of 40.38.
