📌Kilkenny’s Susan Fitzpatrick took the runner-up spot behind Emma McEntee (RHS Blue) in the GAIN Alltech National Grand Prix , as she crossed the line with nothing to add in a time of 38.88 aboard Keatingstown Skorphults Joker.Keatingstown Skorphults Joker is a seven-year-old German bred gelding. He was bred by Gestut Lewitz and is by Conthargos and out of the Chacco Blue sired dam, Conthargos. A new mount for Fitzpatrick, the gelding was previously campaigned by Ian Fives and before this Harold Megahey.
Fitzpatrick took another share of the prize fund when she delivered another clear with her mother Sharon’s Keatingstown Quite Chacco in a time of 40.60. Bred by Jana Kleszczova, the nine-year-old geling is by Quaid and out of Chacco Blue sired dam, Chicca Blue.
📌In the 1.35m, Ulster Grand Prix Kildare’s Edward Doyle took third place with Renkum A’Toast when clear in 46.93. In fifth place was Wexford’s Capt. Charlene Kehoe with Derrycush, clear in 49.13, ahead of Kildare’s Leah Stack and Olivia De Muze N, clear in 49.99.
📌In the six-year-old Studbook series, Molly Hughes Bravo took the runner-up spot with HHS India, when they put in a foot-perfect round in 51.33. The Kilkenny rider also took fifth place with HHS Savanna, when clear in 53 seconds. Longford rider Oliver Glancy took fourth place with Clonterm Obolenssky, clar in 52.84.
📌In the seven-year-old Studbook series, Mikey Pender took the win with JJS Calgary, clear in 33.14. The Kildare rider also took second place with HHS Cornetta, clear in 33.84. Third place was filled by fellow Kildare rider Derek McConnell and Inlaws, clear in 35.29. Wexford rider Jason Higgins and Heritage MBF slotted into fourth place when all the poles remained in place in a time of 39.20. Capt Charlene Kehoe and DHF accounted for sixth place, when they came home with nothing to add in a time of 40.80.Marta and Molly Hughes Bravo, daughters of Irish Olympian Marion Hughes, showed they have bright futures in the saddle as they both finished with double-clear rounds in the five-year-old and six-year-old finals.
📌Marta Hughes Bravo and GCS Rosie (ISH) impressed with a clear round in Saturday’s qualifier before a double clear in Sunday’s five-year-old final. In total, 11 jumped double clear to share first place.
