It was a well worth trip from Portmore to Galway Equestrian for Francis Derwin as he claimed victory in the GAIN Alltech Grand Prix today (Monday 2 May). Riding Killerisk Can Ya the Mullingar young rider delivered the only double clear in the five-way jump-off in a time of 40.06 seconds. Overall it was a good weekend for the combination, having also claimed fifth place in the GAIN Alltech Grand Prix in Portmore on the Saturday.Owned by Francis Jnr and bred by Maura Counihan, Killerisk Can Ya, is a ten-year-old by Can Ya Makan out of the Mermus R sired dam R Umonia 14.
