What a great weekend for Leinster Riders in the Irish Breeders classic.

Kilkenny had more to celebrate on Sunday, as young rider Seamus Hughes Kennedy rode to victory in the €15,000 Plusvital sponsored Grand Prix. From the 34 starters just two clears were delivered and they came from two young riders. Taking the win after the two way jump-off was Kennedy and the Clare Hughes owned Cuffesgrange Cavadora. The partnership had one down against the clock in a time of 38.83. Bred by Eamon Sheehan the 10-year-old mare is by Z Wellie 72 and is out of the Luidam sired dam, Cuffesgrange Cavalidam.

Kilkenny young riders struck again in the seven/eight-year-old consolation class as Robin Carey took the win aboard Adam Carey’s Luicruz, when clear in 31.39. This seven-year-old mare was bred by Sean Fahey and is by Luidam and out of the Puissance sired dam, All Cruz.
Kilkenny riders Tholm Keane delivered a clear with the Maeve Al Aidarous owned Fur Elise (7yo) in 34.97 for fourth place.Also representing Kilkenny in the line-up was Oisin Aylward and Neil Campion’s  Cillbhrid Hank (7 YO), taking fifth place, when clear in 36.37.
Completing the top six line-up was Philip Carey and Perle D’ Amour (7 YO), who was fastest of the four faulters in a time of 34.72.

Kilkenny rider Susan Fitzpatrick clinched victory in the 1.45m North Star Classic Grand Prix last Friday. 
Riding her mother Sharon’s Keatingstown Skorphults Joker, she was one of just two double clears in the 10,000 class. From the original starters, nine booked their place against the clock.

Keatingstown Skorphults Joker is a nine-year-old German bred gelding. He was bred by Gestut Lewitz and is by Conthargos and out of the Chacco Blue sired dam, Chaccy Anne.

Francis Derwin and Killerisk Can Ya took the runner-up place in the GAIN Alltech Grand Prix league.

Kildare’s Leah Stack & Laurina won the Irish Breeders Classic Final on Sunday afternoon, the 5yo Mare is by Stakkato Gold, out of Rincarina, by Cruising, owned & bred by Noel Cawley.

Vincent Byrne & Sumas Knockout took third place in the Irish Breeders Classic Final on Sunday afternoon, the 5yo Bay Gelding, by TYSON, out of Sumas Fanny Pric, by VDL Arkansas , owned by Freestone Farm, and bred by Suma Stud.
