Co Kildare’s Sean Kavanagh came out on top in the third round of the Mervue Equine LST at Ballivor Horse Show in Co Meath. Kananagh partnered the Rachel Stafford-owned Dungar Clover Brigade to victory finishing almost two seconds clear of the chasing pack. Dungar Clover Brigade is just a seven-year-old and by the stallion Boherdeal Clover out of a dam by Upperchurch Breeze.
Kilkenny Young Rider Jack Ryan took runner-up spot, he was one of four double clear rounds with the nine-year-old Gildawn Diamond mare, Cavalier Teaca. Roisin Fagan also kept all the fences standing with Ikan to claim third spot, while Notthern rider Peter Smyth slotted into fourth with Aurthur Hill.
Gerard Clarke produced the second fastest time of the day with JB Master Glen Bar but one fence down left them in fifth. Jack Ryan also filled sixth place with Little Guidam, while Daniela O’Toole (Drumagoland Cancun) and Eddie Moloney (Omard Lottie), completed the top eight.
