Information and Lecture Night at Limerick South Court Hotel on 25th June

I’m delighted to advise that I have an Information / Lecture Night arranged for you all.  It’s on Thursday, 25th June, @ 7.00 in South Court Hotel in Limerick.

The line up for the information night is

Michael Blake, Junior / Young Rider Chairman and HSI Representative.  Michael will give a talk about

               Goal setting and how to plan for goals;

               European team selection process;

               Planning for Team Selection; International Duty

Jim Hickey:  Internationally Renowned Sports Psychologist whose clients include many of our top International and National Riders.  Jim will speak on a number of subjects including

                Target Setting

                Coping with Pressure and preparing for Competition Pressure

                Competition Focus and preparation

Jim will be available after talk to give a private consultation to anyone who may wish to avail.

Donncha Houlihan MVB MRCVS:  Donncha will be speaking mainly on

                 Horse Soundness its importance for Competition.

Donncha & his brother Paul have recently set up a new Equine Hospital at Greenmount Stud, Limerick. The hospital has been established to provide specialist equine veterinary care for the Competition Horses (and breeding mares) in the Mid-West region of Ireland.  In addition to offering all routine equine veterinary services, the hospital status enables them to cater for the more complex case which may require in house surgical intervention and/or intensive care management with the aid of state of the art equipment.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend this event.  This Information night is geared for ALL the Development Squad Athletes Young and old, so looking forward to seeing you on the night.    I would appreciated you confirming your attendance, as I have to confirm numbers to the hotel for size of room.  Usual fee applies however if numbers permit, the may be a reduction.
