Mullingar Equestrian will be a hive of activity this Bank Holiday weekend as it hosts its very popular CSI 2* Show. Following last year’s absence from the showjumping calander, the Fagan family has welcomed its return and promise that this years competition will be as exciting as ever. This year is the 14th edition of the Mullingar International CSI 2** Horse Show. This four day event has over €100,000 prize fund on offer, 9 International classes, the Bet Showjumping Live speed competition, €10,000 Horse Sport Ireland classes and almost 70 national classes.This year due to HSI guidelines the show will be closed to the public, but in a bid to allow showjumping enthusiasts follow the show, events will be live streamed. Results will be available on SJI Live or via the app, Equipe. Their social media pages will keep followers up to date.With a substantial prize fund in the feature Grand Prix of €25,000, it is expected that some of the biggest names in showjumping will be in attendance. The action will kick-off in the National arenas on Thursday, with the ISH Studbook Series. In the national arena’s the Lilliput Meter, Lake County Ladies, the Derravarra 1.10m and the Midland Classic 1.20m are all on the schedule, along with aged and height classes. In the International arenas, competitors will battle it out over nine classes, from speed to the Puissance and Grand Prix.
