Iveck Agricultural Horse Show which will be held  Saturday week, 27th August in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny.  This is one of the oldest agricultural shows in the country and well worth a visit with your family.  Kilkenny breeds some of the best half bred horses in Ireland with “MHS Going Global” , our Olympic Representative coming from the Brennan’s yard in Co. Kilkenny.

At this show, you will see the future stars of showjumping performing in the main arena.   It  has a fantastic schedule with jumping for horses from 1 metre – 1.35,  all levels of ponies catered for on the day and sportsman’s competition available from 9am in arena 3.  Their schedule can be viewed on line www.iveckshow.ie. or on SJI website in August Bulletin.

Nissan is the principle sponsor of the South Leinster Tour Grand Prix 1.35cm  which has a prize fund of 2000 euro. Kindly on board, as sponsors also, are Steaks Direct & MHS Horses.

This is also  the penultimate leg of the MERVUE EQUINE 1.35 Leinster Summer Tour &  incorporates the  South Leinster Summer Tour League .mervue laboratories

Karlswood Farm’s Bursary, which is on offer to the winner of the Young Riders section of the Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour.  This is an  amazing opportunity for a Young Rider but has a stipulation attached to it this season(2016)    It must be used by the winner within a year from when it is won at the Final in Barnadown, otherwise it will go to the next inline on the leader board.  CIAN o'cONNOR

This Bursary is for a weeks training with Bonze Olympic Medallist, Cian O’Connor with all expenses paid for the rider to receive training with him for one week at his stables.

LeinsterSJ LST Mervue EquineThe Leinster Region Training Bursary for 500 euro will be won by a Pro Am rider who does not derive his/her income from riding horses.  In the lead at the moment is:

A rider must be placed in SJI results to gain points in this section.  A rosette is given to the top Pro Am on the day but no points if not in the results.

Please note that all results will be rechecked  before the final leg at the Irish Breeders Classic Show in Barnadown on Friday 2nd September where there will be points and a half on offer.
